![]() And those of us affected were of various ages-including those I'd estimate were in their 20's-so it wasn't due to a personal hearing loss. And the cruelty was that just a couple seats away from our section, people were laughing big time, so you knew they were hearing things just fine. None of the people immediately around me were laughing at all, which showed they weren't hearing anything either. And we understood absolutely nothing when he gave his asides, which is some of the best parts of his routines. Sometimes we could understand almost a complete sentence, but only when he talked very loudly everything else was so muted or garbled that in spite our best efforts, we could only pick out 1 or 2 words of any given sentence. Unfortunately, our 4 seats (and apparently, the other approximately 10 or so seats immediately around us) were in a dead zone for sound, and none of us could hear anymore on average than 1 word out of every ten. by KUS on 8/17/19 Dolby Theatre - Hollywood ![]() Rating: 4 out of 5 Sound system was bad, the show was good.Have all of his DVD’s (of course “Dressed To Kill” is phenomenal)!!! Rating: 5 out of 5 Eddie Izard - Wunderbar by HHT on 11/23/21 Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryĮddie Izard was true to form and provided the expected intelligent, free form, hilarious content.I might not go so far as to say she's lost a fan but I'll think twice before paying money to see her perform. I convinced 5 other people to go see Eddie's show with me and was apologizing to everyone after the show. You don't do this where people paid to see you at the top of your game. If a comedian wants to work on material on an audience the usually do it in a small club where they weren't expected to perform so no hard feelings, they got to see a bit of a famous comedian for free while they worked out the kinks in their routine. ![]() I've heard other comedians say this too but always believed that might be true for small parts of a routine but this felt like the entire show was free balling. Everything was so scattered, she even joked about how she didn't write anything down and that she was just testing material out. This performance however was very disappointing. Let me start by saying I like Eddie Izzard I've listened to her since the mid 1990's.
